Introduction

Welcome to Initium! This is a quick guide for after you've read:

If you skipped these you won't understand 5% of what I'll say, and these will help a lot in the long run, so better check it out of the list already.

The Guide

First of all, gear up from aera nearby items, pick up best you can. The "best" possible items would be:

Open Faced Helm, Leather Armor and Cloak, Battleaxe, Light Steel Shield, Leather Boots and Hardened Leather Gloves. Of course better stuff could be lying on the floor, but that is quite rare.

So, assuming you've followed quickstart, you killed trolls in Aera surroundings, best drop you can get off trolls is Heavy Mace and Light Steel Shield.

Moving to Aera Swamplands you will find Shell Trolls more often, and also Kobolds, from them you can get Open Faced Helm which is a quite decent helmet with no Strenght Requirement, and Battleaxe which can roll up to 2d8 damage! Amazing for starters and even beyond.

Use your first 2k gold and buy a house to store item, MAKE SURE TO SAVE THE LINK TO IT, otherwise death makes you lose the path (unless premium).

After that, you can farm gold, go to High Road and keep trying to set up a camp, each thief can give 200 gold easily. Make sure to rest before reaching half HP. After getting quite some good money, you should buy some armor. Full Plate is recommended but you can get away with Scale Mail and Scale Leggins. For weapons, the best choices are Light Mace of the Troll King and Orc Staff, both are amazing at doing damage and have really high dura.

For boots, Plated Greaves is the best even for old players most of the timer, Hardened Leather Gloves are still really good, but you can swap for Gauntlets but not really worth unless it's really good gauntlets. For helmets aim for Helm of the Troll King or if lucky to find a cheap Ornate Orcich Helmet which is top end helmet. I would also swap the shield for a Heavy Steel Shield, but I really encourage people to use the 2 handed Orc Staff, it's amazing for killing AND blocking a silly 1d7 can hit 40 DAMAGE!.

After all that, it's up to you, you can grab Macuahuitl from Acolytes in the Temple Ruins and go kill Black Guards which will drop most of the items I listed.

You can farm lots of gold from Drakes and Young Green Dragons which can drop up to 3k gold each, make sure to use Bludgeoning weapons, they barely hit so no big chance to die. Definitely don't push your chances should you encounter a Dragon Hunter.

You can also aim to kill Troll King which spawns every 2 hours, and gives nice rewards.

After all that you'll probably know a lot more about the game, just go on and explore new areas, fit in a player group, sell items to other players, it's all up to you.
